As of this moning, the St. Louis Blues have placed Manny Legace on waivers. The starter for most of the season and one of the West's goalies in last year's All-Star game has had a confidence issue lately.
Legace in better times.
If he doesn't get claimed, he will be assigned to the Peoria Rivermen, St. Louis' AHL affiliate.
For his part, Legace is upset with the move, saying that he was 'dumped on' by the team. He may also be regretting his statement last week that he was 'the worst player in the NHL.'
